The 4-star Hyatt Regency Calgary is located in the heart of downtown Calgary on Stephen Avenue Walk with its theatres, shopping and entertainment and the EPCOR Theatre of Performing Arts. You can also drive to Banff and Lake Louise, just an hour away. Other nearby attractions include the Calgary Tower, Calgary Zoo, Devonian Gardens and the TELUS World of Science. The hotel also has some of the city's largest guestrooms, with standard rooms measuring a spacious 400 square feet.

The only full service hotel spa in Calgary, the Stillwater Spa, is located on-site. You can work out in the state-of-the-art Hyatt StayFit® Fitness Center, equipped with Life Fitness® cardio and strength machines, flat screen televisions and free weights. Or perhaps take a dip in the indoor pool, relax in the hot tub or steam room and stretch out on the sun deck overlooking the city. Other property amenities include a full service business center, Hyatt Check-In/Out Kiosks, gift shop and art gallery.

The 355 spacious guestrooms feature elegant neutral tones, birch wood furnishings, western Canadian artwork and city views or prairie vistas. Bedding includes either 1 deluxe king bed or two double beds featuring plus pillows, down blankets and triple sheets.

Room amenities include cable TV, high speed wired and wireless internet access (fee), dual line speaker phone with voicemail, individual climate control, in-room safe (laptop storage and charging capabilities), iHome (alarm clock with iPod/MP3 player docking station), coffee station, iron/board, hair dryer, seasonally scented toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, face soap, massage bar soap), shower cap, shoe mitt, lint mitt and laundry bag. Rollaway bed/crib are available upon request for king rooms only.

Thomsons Restaurant offers a daily breakfast buffet, a la carte selections, lunch and upscale dining using fresh local ingredients combined with an international flair. Enjoy selections such as Braised Prince Edward Island Mussels simmered in Red Thai Curry topped with fresh tomatoes and cilantro, Pan Seared Halibut with roasted garlic Polenta, grilled romaine hearts, oven-dried Roma tomatoes and Balsamic reduction, or a 10 oz. New York Striploin served with roasted fingerling potatoes, charred asparagus and finished with a Shiraz red wine reduction. Open 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for breakfast and lunch, 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for dinner daily.

The Sandstone Lounge is a good place for casual lunches and dinners or a sampling of hors d'oeuvres. Boasting an elegant long bar and a cozy fireplace, the Lounge provides a great environment for sipping cocktails out on the patio or socializing with local residents. Specialty coffee drinks and desserts are also served. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Open 11 a.m. to midnight daily.
